Rorty invented "linguistic turn" to mark when philosophy turned on language itself with new suspicion, starting big time with Nietzsche. "How is it that we mean stuff?" became the new question, which Wittgenstein dove deeply into, and the result is a break with ancient Greeks at another level. Cracks and crumbles are par for the course though, this isn't a tragedy. Rorty carries the later Wittgenstein forward under the banner of pragmatism. Not sure his detractor Haack is up on that aspect, nor the importance of "meaning as use" to that of "namespace" (as in: Synergetics is a namespace i.e. set of language games).
